What is the Annual Membership Gathering?

Every year, High Country Conservancy brings people together to celebrate the organization's accomplisments, and, more importantly, to say thanks to the members, businesses, and other supporters that make our work possible. The event is casual and family-friendly, with hiking opportunities and activities for kids. A fully catered meal is provided, followed by a program featuring a HCC land protection presentation, conservation awards ceremony, and an interesting guest speaker from the community.

Hiking Opportunities

This year, as in years past, there will be two hikes leaving the Apple Barn at a little after 1:00 p.m. and lasting for no more than an hour. One hike will be a farm tour of the Goodnight Family Farm, the other a walk to a nearby waterfall on protected Valle Curcis Conference Center land.

New this year is a special hiking opportunity to the newly protected Bear Paw State Natural Area. This hike will happen earlier in the day, before the Membership Gathering. To join this open-to-the-public-hike, please sign-up by calling HCC at 264-2511, or by emailing zachary@highcountryconservancy.org. We will meet at the Apple Barn at 9:30, assemble a carpool, then make a very short drive to the trailhead. The hike will return to the Apple Barn around 12:00 noon, where folks will have the option enjoy refreshments and attend the Membership Gathering.
