Other Ways to Give
In addition to cash gifts, Blue Ridge Conservancy can accept donations of stock or mutual funds, as well as IRA charitable rollover gifts:
IRA Charitable Rollover. If you are age 70½ or older, you are able to transfer up to $100,000 annually from your IRA directly to Blue Ridge Conservancy without first having to recognize the distribution as income. This distribution can count toward your annual required minimum distribution amount. Click here for IRA Charitable Rollover Instructions.
Stocks, Bonds or Mutual Funds. A gift of stock or mutual funds to BRC may provide you with a greater tax benefit than a gift of cash. Click here for Stock and Mutual Fund Donation Instructions.
Consider increasing your impact on conservation in the High Country by taking advantage of your employer’s matching gifts program, or by shopping with Amazon Smile:
Matching Gifts. Many institutions offer programs to match their employees’ charitable contributions. Please contact your employer for more information about their matching gift program.
Amazon Smile. When you shop through Amazon Smile, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases to your chosen charitable organization. Visit smile.amazon.com and select Blue Ridge Conservancy as your designated charity.
