Blowing Rock WinterFest is this weekend and the Charity Chili Challenge is taking place all over town! Participating restaurants will be serving their special chili on Saturday, January 30th and donating 100% of the proceeds to local nonprofits.

Hellbender Bed & Beverage is sponsoring Blue Ridge Conservancy. Did you know that the hellbender is the largest salamander in North America and it lives in the rivers and streams right here in the High Country!?

We love the hellbender as a symbol of the Southern Appalachian Mountains and an indicator of healthy aquatic ecosystems. Teaming up with the crew at the Hellbender Bar seemed like a perfect match!
