Blue Ridge Conservancy presents The Virginia Big-Eared Bats of Grandfather Mountain: A story of discovery and survival.
Please join Blue Ridge Conservancy and the Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation in the Nature Museum Theater to see the film and learn more about the conservation efforts happening in the High Country.
Blue Ridge Conservancy and our local, state and federal partners worked to permanently protect the habitat of the endangered Virginia Big-Eared Bat in the Grandfather Mountain corridor.
To celebrate this amazing conservation success, Appalachian State University’s Documentary Film Services produced a short film to tell the story.
Theater showings will be on April 6 at 11am and 1pm.
After each showing a Q & A session will follow with partners from NC State Parks, NC Wildlife Resource Commission, and US Fish and Wildlife who are featured in the film.
It's Dollar Days at Grandfather Mountain! Local residents and employees of the High Country can enjoy the park at a discounted entrance fee of $3 in April.
