Middle Fork Greenway Press Conference

The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce and Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce will co-host a press conference Monday, May 7th, on behalf of the Middle Fork Greenway, to communicate a recently completed Economic Impact Study and to unveil plans for Round-Up for the Greenway, a fundraising imitative linking the local business community to the project, set to begin in July.

The press conference will take place at Monday, May 7 th , at 4pm at High Gravity Adventures, located at 215 Tweetsie Railroad Rd in Blowing Rock. This location is just steps away from the first completed section of the Middle Fork Greenway, a planned 6.5 mile pedestrian and bike-friendly pathway that will connect the towns of Boone and Blowing Rock.

 David Jackson, President/CEO, Boone Area Chamber of Commerce

Photographers/videographers can gain easy access to the completed 1.1 mile section of the Middle Fork Greenway, which runs along the property line connecting Tweetsie Railroad and Mystery Hill, two popular High Country tourist attractions.

An audio mult will be available for media use. One on one interviews with press conference participants and select business owners involved with the Round-Up project
will be coordinated by Boone Area Chamber of Commerce staff immediately following the press conference. Parking is available free of charge directly in front of High Gravity Adventures, located adjacent to Tweetsie Railroad.
