Support the Community You Love

Our job at Blue Ridge Conservancy is to save the places you love in northwest North Carolina. We do it because our communities depend on clean air, fresh water and local foods to remain healthy and viable.

Our communities also depend on people building relationships and becoming interconnected with each other.

BRC's work would not be possible without the support of the local businesses in the High Country. They have shown unwavering dedication to conserving the land, protecting the landscapes and connecting people to nature. For example, last summer 130 businesses participated in the Round Up for the Greenway, raising $200,000 to build the next section of the Middle Fork Greenway.

These businesses are counting on the members of our community to get them through this difficult time in society. We want to show them the same support that they've shown us over the years.

Together, we can help our neighbors and friends by shopping and eating from local retail and restaurants.

The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce is compiling a list of new ways that local restaurants and retail businesses can continue to interact with customers during this time. If you know of other similar resources that we can share, please email them to nikki@blueridgeconservancy.org.

The people who come to the High Country to live, work and play do so because of the inherent spirit of this region and the natural and cultural heritage that connects us to the mountains and each other. We believe this spirit is what will get us through these difficult days ahead.

Please reach out to us if you need help. We are here for you!
