BRC raised $20,236 on #GivingTuesday

We surpassed our goal of 100 donors in 24 hours and it would not have been possible without YOU! Words cannot describe how grateful we are for your support and passion for protecting our beloved Blue Ridge Mountains.

Yesterday’s Record-Breaking Stats:

•    $15,236 from 140 donors in 24 hours

•    $5,000 challenge gift from Steve & Steve unlocked

•    $20,236 Total

•    12 states represented

Your dollars are well spent. For every $1 donated in the last twelve months for operations, BRC leveraged $11 resulting in an investment of $5.72 million for:

·Land Protection – Acquired 786 acres in 11 strategic locations, while monitoring and managing 180 conservation properties.

·Public Land Expansion – Increased public access with 9 projects, including additions to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Over Mountain Victory Trail, and Elk Knob State Park.

·Habitat Protection – Protected rare plants and amphibians at the Tater Hill Bog.

·Middle Fork Greenway – Raised $2.7 million to construct 1.3 miles of trail and have an additional mile “shovel ready” to connect Blowing Rock to Boone with a 6.5-mile path.

It’s amazing what we can accomplish as a community when we all come together for a common goal.

We are humbled, inspired, and thankful for YOU—believing in our mission to Save the Places You Love.
